Took this quickly* the morning after the "dust" settled... From my balcony sliding door, makes me want a mug of hot chocolate... (18* out) personally have always liked this type of picture.

*quickly=camera on auto, thought it would look good and... I'm a newbie...

a nice snapshot, but not exciting as a picture. place looks lovely. if youre shooting as a documentary image then its fine, but if you were looking for something a bit more creative and aesthetics wise, composition needs work and a exposure is off (which can be fixed in PP). seems like you might of had active dlighting on. and its not necessary here really.

camera needs to be raised but it crops the nice tree shadow. its a compromise here. but the tree is blocking to much of the view way youre trying to show. not enough of the background showing and trees on top are cropped. its a not here nor there image. a snapshop that needs work.

im neautral with my tone although it might sound brutal. I just say it like it is and im not a PC guy. thats how Id want someone to tell it to me. cheers.

Please, do NOT have the date on your images. It spoils everything. It would also be nice to know which camera you used to take this so we could help you more.
Personally, I think the picture lacks a bit of sharpness and contrast.

Yes, the composition is confusing. I can say that because i have had more than my share of confusing compositions. The thing is to get out there and keep shooting and you must learn to be your own worst critic. The joys of digital is that it allows us to shoot over and over again in a short period and analyze each photo immediately.

This is exactly what I want to hear, I believe there is always room for improvement, once you feel there is no longer room to improve, one loses interest, then what's the point...
It was taken w a 3200... I do a lot of "auto" shots as I haven't learned to venture away from it as of yet...
As far as the date on the pic, the main reason for that is documenting the story of this precious life...

i am with marcel on removing the date. The software you use to process the photo should have the exif date with the photo.
Imo this looks just plain ugly if you went to print this for your wall at home.

Far too much in focus or close to in focus confusion,my eye is struggling to decide what i should be looking at,the OOF bar down the right hand side needs cropping out,the idea has potential but the composition is too cluttered and i agree about the date no serious photographer would include that in the image.

I have moved this thread from the Critique section to the feedback section. Please read the guidelines for the Critique section first. Also even in the feedback section limit it to 1 photo so people know what photo they are discussing. otherwise just start a personal thread in the [h=1]Project 365 & Daily Photos[/h]
When you do then please use you name in the title along with something else and that way people will know that this is your thread and only you can post photos in it. Then anytime you want to post photos you can post them in that thread. This is what most of us do here with general everyday photos.

Like mine for this years is [h=2]Don's D7100 Daily Dabblings - 2015[/h]
