It's a dandy little tripod and I like it a lot. It's very well designed and very well built. I love that it converts to a monopod as easy as it does, that's one of my favorite things about it. That being said, I would not want this as my only tripod and I'm not sure it's the one I would reach for if I was doing serious landscapes on the regular; I just think there are better choices. Personally, I suck it up and haul my Manfrotto 055XPROB when doing landscapes that require a tripod. The things that make the Road Trip so awesome overall (small form factor and light weight) are the same things that make it a less than ideal choice as a hard-use landscapes tripod.Has anyone got the above and what do you think about it. Its on my potential list. Will use for landscapes but also will be up in the mountains so weight is a factor in purchasing a tripod.

The 055PRO3 is the latest iteration of the 055PROB.Thanks both. Just thinking of the trek up in the Brecon Beacons with a heavy tripod so thats why im looking at it. My other option is this with sale price ends today.
