SLR viewer attachment

Lately I have been wanting to get closer to ground level to take photos but, because of age and weight that still hasn't left me, I am looking for an extension to the view finder of my Nikon D7000. I saw a photo of one a while ago but the equipment never had a name posted. The piece in question came out from the viewer at about 45 degrees and was probably close to a foot or more long. The camera itself sat on a low to the ground tripod. Can anyone help me determine what it is I am looking for? Thanks.

Not sure it is the same thing, but there was a Nikon DR-4 right angle finder of that description, except it was less than a foot long.

Nikon DR-4 Right Angle Finder 2329 B&H Photo Video

Don't know that it will fit todays camera?

Or Live View uses the rear LCD as a viewfinder, and works well with camera held at arms length over our head.
It surely works on the ground too.

Gonna try that. Can't be any worse than the Nikon app.

Nikon's app is about as useful as an ML-L3 remote. I refer to it as WimpWare. You pretty much can only fire the camera.

With DslrDashboard, you can change most of the settings on the camera (save for shooting mode and zooming).

Yeah pretty sad that Nikon's app still looks and runs like it's in beta.
