When i'm looking for a new printer, I also check out the price of the replacement ink cartridges.
I remember once buying a Lexmark printer, It cost more to replace the ink than cost of the printer.

Yeah, that's the first thing to check with printers. It used to be a rule of thumb that the cheaper the printer, the more it cost to run (ink carts), dunno if that's still true.
P.S can we say Canon on this site??;)

The Canon Pixma 9000 Mk II can be had pretty cheaply on Fleabay (where I got mine for about $200) and it makes awesome 13"x19" photos. It also has 8 ink cartridges so you only need to replace the one that is getting low instead of the whole "color" cartridge. And there is no need to get the outrageously expensive Canon ink cartridges, there are lots of outstanding after market ones for a third of the price.

The reviews for it are very high too
