Oh go one, click on the link. You just may get 500,000 dollars from a Nigerian prince, who randomly picked you to give his fortune to. After clicking, you may also get a phone call, notifying you that you won a free trip to the Bahamas. I have already won 5 this month! I have told my boss that i will need 5 weeks off of work this summer because i won those trips. For some reason, he looked at me like i was a complete fool

hehehe...yeah, I always laugh at those kinds of emails. So.....if any of you are interested, you might want to look up a very neat program called Mailwasher. I've been using it for about 10 years now, and I don't check email without it. It has proved invaluable to me to weed out and/or block questionable emails. I have the Mailwasher Pro version. I think it was $10 at the time. anyway, Google it and see for yourself if it's something you could use. :)

Everything is safe. Rachael from Card Holder Services told me not to worry.

But now the FBI reports a break in every 5 seconds in my area. At that rate, every house will be robbed by 3:15 today.

I better get an alarm system.

I get emails like those at work probably once or twice a week, except it's my company email address that has been "compromised" and, because of this, a portal to Hell will be soon be opened dooming all of mankind to unspeakably horrible fates. The email itself is written what I assume is some form of Pidgin English and usually comes from, "Network Security Team"; which we don't have.

I must have been lucky because Google mail finds all of them and puts them in the spam folder,i just look in there every few days in case they have put a genuine contact mail in by mistake.

Same here... I use Outlook in Office365 on a MAC... I figure most of that stuff originates in the MS universe, so I let them do the filtering...:)

I was using Mail Washer for several years and was actually a beta tester for them but then they started letting in all sorts of spam so I dropped them. I have a couple of different domains that I use mail from so what I do now is forward them to my gmail account and let them sort it out. It works great. It catches about 98% of the spam. I do check the spam folder and it does occasionally get a good email sent there but one click and that sender goes to the good mail and the rest from that address are always sent to the good pile.

What Mailwasher does it let you see all the mail while it's still at your ISP. It doesn't download to till you tell it to. That's it.
