Six more days till my wife retires

I have been doing daily countdown photos for my wife till she retires. I thought I would share day 6 with you.

Hope she doesn't make a lot of noise around the house and stop you getting your naps my wife should have retired at 60 which was two months before i retired,the government changed the retirement age for women and she has nearly 4 more years to go now.

We are planning on a 3 week trip out west to see several national parks. Then later in the fall a 1 week trip into enemy territory to New York.

Now for the next stage of your life, which is how long you both stay retired before you "neeeeed" to go back to work, and not for the money!!

(For me, it was ten days after I retired the first time!)

She plans on some volunteer work and mainly just having the time to do what we want to do. Like last night we were out shooting till 1am. Can't do that when you have to get up and go to work the next morning.

Not any more. But there was a time when it was no big deal.

I hear you. My job is getting grossly in the way of my photography. (I picked up my camera for the first time in over a month this week.) I'm on call this weekend, and we're losing another employee, who won't be replaced, in three weeks, so his workload will get distributed among those of us left.

Congrats to your wife Don. My wife is also retiring but has a little time left. Sept 18 is her last day. Since she's not 65 yet, she can't get Medicare. I'm 66 but will keep working a few more years to keep the insurance available. Good thing I like my job.

I wish all the best and many healthy coming years to do everything what was postponed.

I can be up until 4AM and still get over 8 hours of sleep before I have to get up to go to work.

But your a famous celebrity Tony, so of course you work when and how long you want to Mr Tiger sir! Lol
