What is the fastest lens you have. I am asking this cos I am looking to get a new fast lens.
My daughter don't want give me back the Nikon 35mm 1.8.

I just read about Sigma 30 mm 1.4

Never been in that area of lenses but looking at your type of image why would you want a faster lens.

Their will be coming soon some great tratitional events which are taking place in the night. The 50mm 1.8 was too long for that crowded events. I did some shots but I wasn't pleased with the results. So I gave it a thought to take photos this year. I don't know how long I am able to get great subjects. Last year, the big lanterns are out of some events already cos the government didn't allow it anymore.

They where such great when they floated in the air.

Cos of the upcoming events I thought getting a great prime, or a fast zoom.

I have got some time to think, but I wanna get infos on time.

The 70-200 2.8 is too long for my DX and those events. A Sigma 50-150 2.8 is too long too, cos the 50mm is too long.

I have both the 35mm f1.8G & the 50mm f1.8D - Both are awesome lenses and pretty cheap. Similar to you, Michael, I lent my step-son my 35mm so I bought the 50mm for me to use while he has the 35mm.

The Nikon 35mm f/1.8 is a really sharp lens. Maybe your daughter would let you borrow her's once in a while when she isn't using it. :)

I have three 1.4 primes. But my most goto prime for speed and just pure sexy sexy image quality is my 200mm f2

I'd go with Glenn, the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 Art would be a great option. I can see it being useful for the type of photography you've been doing.
