Photographing Elk in the wild

Has anyone ever photographed elk like this guy?

This is me a few years back. It was shot by my wife



This was in the the same area he was shooting in. These guys are pretty used to people stopping and looking/shooting them and are pretty calm about it. This guy barely looked at me. I would take a step closer and he would move away about the same distance.

From where I am sitting that guy in the video was foolhardy and extremely lucky that he wasn't seriously injured or even killed.
Great video though and I hope he got some good shots.

They are hunted in my area and keep clear of humans.

Must have been a bunch of tourist looking on . This guy came very close to being stabbed and no one is doing anything about it. He is very lucky to be alive.

Pretty cool but scary.
