So I made my 1st order from Nations. Two art prints for a customer, and a few for me. 1 with a border came out cut slightly off (should have expected), but another... a sailboat with a clear horizon line, came out off kilter, leaning to the right. Drives me insane to the point that I can't even look at it.

Are off kilter prints normal? Should I avoid ordering prints with clean lines online and try to find a local shop instead?

Majorly bummed... was hoping to frame and display for the holiday.

Call them right away. I received 2 16x20's once with a slight crease in the corner, they Fedx'ed two new prints to me the next day.

Sent them an immediate email since their phones and online chat are down until Friday. Still a bummer that my very first order came like that...

Hopefully the make up for it with service recovery.

Sorry about your luck bro! I used them before a few times (I don't print much) and they always came out well.

Definitely let them know those items were for a customer and they had been recommended to you for their quality. I've been ordering about $1k in prints a year and have only had 2 issues, which they more than compensated for.

I ordered a mounted 16x20 that arrived with a wrinkle--they replaced it quickly. An order of 50 4x6 prints yielded a few off-kilter images. I let those slide but wasn't impressed.

Initially I liked their colors but haven't been too happy with their prints even though my monitor is color-calibrated. The colors are WAY off compared to prints when using my Canon printer (and I paid extra for their better color option).

That's shocks me, I sent some in and they called before printing to tell me part of it was going to cut off. I had some text at the bottom, which I knew was to low, but I told them to print anyway. If it's obvious then someone should have called you.

They will fix it and rush it to you

I do not have them color correct and they are true to my monitor. I don't want someone else thinking what the image "should" look like (and it's cheaper).

BTW, are you guys using the ROES system? I downloaded that and use it to order.

I do Rick, it's a nice system. I like how they give you a icon of your pictures with the sizes on the receipt, us it for proof of what I ordered. Guess that tool and the results I have received keeps me using them. As far as color corrected, I use it depending on the shots and in some instances it's better and some it's ok. I do have their ICC profile which helps in the previews before ordering.

Didn't use the color correct either. Already had it how I wanted it, and as far as color/print quality, it was fabulous (aside from being crooked). Haven't heard of the ROES, but it was my first order. Will have to check it out.
