What is it? Was it expensive? Can I play with it?

Google Mamiya RB67 Pro-S. I got the whole shebang (body, waist-level finder w/magnifier, focus screen, rotating back, 120 film holder and 90mm lens) shipped to me for $325.

After looking at it closely, I'm not too confident in the light seals. Some look totally gone, others are quite crumbly. A quick test roll tomorrow will bear the truth.

I goggled it right away. Nice price for trying out MF. Hope it works though. Love to see some BIF shots. :highly_amused: (just kidding). Might be nice for some landscape or portrait shots.

I had the 3-lens kit as well. 55, 80 and 150 IMSMC. 6 120 inserts to boot.

Sounds like we had about the same thing. Been a long time ago for me but I think they had 220 inserts for them also. I had an aluminum Zero Halliburton case with the custom foam for it. That was about the best case for that time. You could drop it off a truck and not hurt the camera.

Yeah, I had a couple 220 inserts for it, but didn't shoot much 220 with it (compared to 120). I loved it, and still have many of my old 645 negs in storage. If this 67 works out, I'll pony up for a good MF scanner and maybe go back and scan some of the old stuff.

Well, I just ran a roll of 120 through it. Only problem is, it wouldn't let me fire the shutter in landscape orientation. It will allow me if there's no film in it, but once there's film in it, it refuses. Only portrait orientation.

Taking a break, then will break out the stinky stuff and see what I got.

Since this first roll was just to test the system, I didn't take much time to make anything earth-shattering.

But I do like what I'm seeing, even in these quick-n-dirty conversions.
