I think I have Trypophobia

Trypophobia - I only recently realized that this was a thing. Every time I see something that has odd or irregular holes in it, I literally sweat and feel very anxious.

Here's an example of a lotus flower that freaks me the hell out: http://media.npr.org/assets/img/201...4d1f76198b446a14719169d147981a624-s40-c85.jpg

The strange thing is I'm not afraid of bug nests, like bees or wasps. This is more irrational in that I know it's not something that is not to be feared, but it invokes fear just by seeing it. I think if I saw a lotus flower in person I'd nope nope nope away from it pretty quickly. haha Apparently some people are even afraid of swiss cheese. I'm not that bad, but certain shapes really make my skin crawl.

There were a couple of hoaxes going around where someone had "photoshopped" a water lily seed pod like that one onto a couple of different body parts saying that one was a disease and the other was a reaction to a particular product. (Head and Shoulders shampoo, as I recall). The "disease pic was of, of all things, a woman's breast. The chemical reaction shot was on a man's shoulder/neck area. It was creepy and more than a little bit sick. I can't even see a normal pic of one of those seed pods without thinking about those pics. While I do not have trypophobia, I do find myself disturbed by the sight of one of those things now. :D

I haven't seen just those pictures, but some very much like those. Just the thought of those really freaks me out :/

Pretty effective hoax, one must say

Those hoax pics have been around for a while, but what bothered me about them was, that the so called affected person let it get to that stage?
I mean surely if you have an itch/rash etc and it's getting worse, you don't let some bugs get through a full gestation period before you take action.

But yes, very hard impacting pics well photoshopped!

That can be found on Snopes at <snopes.com: Breast Rash>. I must say that I found this image very disturbing, even knowing that it was fake, and from what it was made.

This one is also on Snopes. <snopes.com: You Will Not Use Head & Shoulders Shampoo After Watching This Video>. Not nearly as disturbing to me, probably because it is more obviously fake.
