I lost somewhere between 10 and 15kg (22-33lbs) a couple of years back. Only reason I am not sure of the amount is I didn't have scales at the time.
I counted calories, and I exercised EVERY day (walking or table tennis). I was shocked at the calorific value some food had and as a result rarely eat pasta, rice or potatoes. I substitute vegetables instead. It was hard sticking to a 1200 cal diet at first but got easier as I went along. I used a website to help me (
Australian Online Diet and weight loss club. Lose weight for good!).
One thing I did do though is have Sunday every week as an anything goes day. At first I really pigged out on Sundays but found as time went on I needed/wanted less chocolate and sugary stuff.
Oh...and don't weigh yourself every day. Do it weekly...naked...and before eating but after you empty your bladder
It also helps to measure your chest, waist, hips and upper thighs to get a good idea of what is happening
I am not longer on a diet but am slowly seeing the weight creep back on. If I go up a dress size I'll knuckle back down a bit. I went down quite a few dress sizes and don't want to go back.
