The Lawn

I mowed it today.
Thought you might like to know.
Got a nice ride-on Walker mower to use too so it was fun.

I enjoy mowing the lawn and try to give it a professional finish with "the" lines.
Get a kick out of the improvement.
I'll take a photo of the Walker tomorrow and post it up here. Best mower I have ever used but takes a bit of getting used to with no steering wheel.

Got an Allis-Chalmers garden tractor from the 1960's and it still runs like a champ. They just don't build stuff like this anymore.

You can come and mow my two acres any time you want its got lots of fiddly bits to navigate around and nice stripes when done right.
I do it every week (or 10 days) and it takes about 2 hours on my 12 year old Countax A20/50 in Ferrari red

Here are a couple pics from spring last year it was overdue a cut, looks better when shorter.
Like Lawrence I get a kick of making it look nice.

Will take a shot of my mower when I cut the lawn tomorrow.

Thanks, I do try to get them straight. The Walker looks like a beast what model do you have?

Its not mine - I am house sitting for someone.
It rides well and cuts amazingly but the best part is how easy it is to access all the working/moving parts particularly the blades.

I invite ANYONE to come and mow mine Bring a 4WD tractor and slasher....

My morning ritual is to get up, turn on the Kureg, shower and get dressed, make sure the boys are up and getting ready and come here to see what new threads are posted. Always seems to be something sorta not related to photography and then ends up not related. Not complaining at all. In fact I get a kick out of some of the topics. Makes this site a little exciting. Yes I also have the weekly job of mowing. Love to mow. It relaxes me. I mow with a Kubota 1860. My uncle on the other hand tends to keep the old timers around. Think he must have a couple old Sears tractors that he uses. So I can understand Browncoat's liking the old gear. I agree, they don't make them like that anymore.

God how I hate yardwork!

I don't hate yard work ... so long as the guys I pay do a good job at it.

Nothing looks quite as good as a well mown lawn …
actually lots of things do but you know what I mean.

Mine has one of those Hot spots too and it is yellow also but not a Walker...... a Greenfield

Here is my 12 year old Ferrari (well at least the paints the right colour)
Shame its only 20 HP
It does collect the grass though which makes life easier.
