Me too! Here in austria it is great motorcycle territory...... for about 3 months of the year ;) just sold my harley as it was too much money to have sat in the garage the whole time but i just cant be without two wheels. I am now restoring a 79 yamaha sr500. Should be ridable within the next couple of weeks. Been spending so much time with it during the last two months have not had much time for photography. Pedroj you got any pics of the matchless?

Sorry no, I wasn't into photography then...A couple of the "girls" from back then may have some...

I have a 84 Honda VF4 500cc in the shed...The frame broke under the tank....I'm a bit to old for bikes these days...

I remember what it feels like rolling along the road

Haha, the Gold Wing ones really cracked me up.

Never did understand those guys. Why not just buy a convertible? It would probably cost less.

LOL! I laughed at those, too, because I used to belong to a club called Gold Wing Road Riders Assoc. My last bike was a '91 Gold Wing Aspencade 1500. Had 3 of them before that, and before those, I went through 6 Harley's, 6 Triumph Bonneville 650's, a Yamaha 100cc Twin Jet, and my first bike (given to me by my father), a '47 Harley flathead.

Gotta send this thread's link to my former next-door neighbor. He's not at all into photography but he's owned several Harleys and currently tools around the midwest with his wife enjoying retirement on a Harley that he had converted to a trike. He will love the OP's post!

Thought of you and this thread today, Jack LOL!

We're driving to a train show, and I get passed by a Gold Wing pulling a little custom trailer. Painted to match the bike and everything. Then I notice the woman's custom helmet...it has a hole so her pony tail can stick out the back.

LOL...silly woman, compromising her helmet like that! :) Yeah, I'm guilty of having a colour matched trailer for my bike, too. I tell ya...it was the only way to haul around the camping gear, wine, portable TV, camp chairs......you get the idea. :)

It was 2 years ago, this month, that I lost Christine to a thief.

Chances are, she's in Europe.

Martin, if you see her, please WAVE for me.

Hate resurrecting old threads, but this one is great! I'm still fairly new to riding, my '11 Triumph Speedmaster is my first bike ever, but it still irks me when I pass another bike and don't get a wave back. It double irks me when there's a passenger and NEITHER waves! I'm sure I'll get over it soon enough though.

John, that little Honda is quite nice!
Ted, sucks you lost such a beauty, hope you got something nice to replace her!
