I live in a smaller town and there is always something to shoot -- sometimes too much. I carry my camera always, even working out in the nursery; my boss gives me the fish eye stare sometimes, but never seems to complain about the images I hang on her walls.

I live in a city with just around 90,000 and think it doesn't depend on the ppl are living there to shoot a lot. I take my cam into the car an dif I see something I have it on me or or I start walking around and take the cam too.

if i am out i have a camera in the car. Search "post your" we have pictures of almost everything. Pick a subject and take pictures, it is the only way you are going to learn.

Uh. I don't keep my Nikons with me all the time. I work in an area where you have to keep the change in your car out of sight.

I don't own a car right now (just take subway) and yes I actually have been taking my camera(s) to work every day, apart from the past few days (bit of back trouble I'm getting over). But you never know when someone might call upon you to capture something for them.

I take mine just about everywhere, even when I take the dog out in the backyard. I don't take my camera bag and its contents everythere, only when I plan on it. Depending what is going on and where I plan to be or what I plan to do, I choose my lens accordingly.

I almost never take my gear/camera out except for work/specif purpose. never go out for a walk with it. I get my fill from shooting weddings. sometimes I also shoot for friends or family. but dont just take my gear and walk around looking for things to shoot.

Just something I don't take it everywhere all the time. Only way I got to build some technical skills. Now that I got a new workhorse, 5100 might just turn into that "for fun" body besides a backup not to risk the 600.

I don't take mine to work normally, unless I plan on detouring on the way to or from work.
I use mine most on the weekends, either in town or when we are out walking with the dogs I can normally find something to shoot.

180,000? Less than 3000 where I live. I suppose that is why most of my pictures are of animals. :D

But to answer your question, yeah I generally take my camera with me when I go out. One of these days I'm bound to be out and see a UFO or honest politician and will want my camera handy.

I take a camera pretty much everywhere. Now if I'm going out to dinner and a movie with the GF, the camera stays home but I try to shoot a little every day; not so much for "keepers" (though it does happen when you're least expecting it) but just as an exercise in working with composition and getting my eye's to see things as I need to in order to photograph creatively. I feel I have a pretty good grasp of the "geeky" aspects of photography, it's the more artistic aspects that are so damn hard for me. And photography isn't something I just want to DO... It's something I want to do BETTER. To that end I read artsy photography books and I practice my shooting. A lot. So yeah... The camera goes with me most everywhere.

I haven't been....since it was too cold in the winter....but now, with spring, I'm going to be taking the camera everywhere...my reasoning is simply that you just don't know when the right situation will come along for a great shot!

If I'm going somewhere, there's a camera in the car. Period. Sometimes there's add'l lenses, sometimes there are add'l cameras. I've learned, if you don't have one, you'll want one. I've also learned when you do have one, you learn how to look for photos you missed previously.

I carry mine more now than I have. I started bringing my D7100 to work with me for lunchtime walks around downtown.
I now keep my D40 w/18-55 in the truck now that the freezing has turned to warmth.

Thinking of a cheap prime for the D40, maybe a 35mm 1.8G for street/photowalk type usage?

My Galaxy S3 android has become an appendage and is always there in a pinch :)

Almost always with me, learned that early on when I kept seeing things and wishing I had my camera. If I am going shopping with the boss and I dont feel I should take due to auto break-ins then it stays at home.

I try to have a camera of some kind with me, even if it is the iPhone type. I hate it when I find myself saying I wish I had a camera right now. LOL.
