Nostalgia

Snow White
Another rainy day today, so I took some time "decluttering" my computer desk. I came across some software (in a packaged CD) that I had forgotten I had and never reloaded to the new systems since the frequent upgrade. So I loaded the CD, the software installed without a hitch. I had the user's manual which had the serial number affixed and I was in business.

They don't make this software anymore (bought in 2001), and I was really impressed that it ran on a windows 7.

Those were the good ole "pr-Cloud" and pre-subscription days when you actually got a CD with a real, tangible and understandable user's manual.

Just reminiscing. . . .sigh

That was my first thought when I read the post. What is the title of the software?

It's some creative writing software called "Storyview" . . . the company is still in business and is called Storymind. I used Dramatica Pro on my Mac in 2001. Am going to try the software on my new/current mac . . . as soon as I find the floppy disks!

When I got my new Desktop recently I had to hunt up a few discs to load on it. At that time I also went through the software drawer and threw away a large number of old totally outdated discs.

Well, after today, I'm not throwing any outdated discs away until I try them first. I even have some of the old adobe programs that were fun and easy to use. Remember "GoLive"?

Boy, that is old software. I guess since I write software (or did) I like bright and shinny software now.
