Hi All..

If anyone is interested, I have just posted our editorial and video with models.com Hotlist Model Janice Alida, shot for their Fall-Winter 2013 Issue.

Was the second last shoot I did using my Pentax gear…

Hope you like it.

Great shots. I hope you'll share the Nikon shots soon too.

The contrasting colors of her eyes, complexion, turtleneck and lipstick balance the green quite well. It's interesting because even though at first glance the green is the strong dominant color, once you focus on her face the green fades away. The cut of her jacket is brilliant, however.

Quite a beautiful cover shot.

What's the location?

Excuse Me??????? WHAT!!!!????? What was that about?

Me thinks this person has some serious problems that he might wish to address and soon...

Benjamin Kanarek , Benjamin Kanarek

Thank you for your reply. Good to know that I haven't lost my touch.

Of your 10 posts here, most reek of self-promotion and are riddled with links. My guess is, you are not actually Benjamin Kanarek, but an assistant or part of his PR team. Maybe I'm off the mark there, but I have my doubts, mostly due to the timing of your arrival here.

While I'm certain some have never heard of Benjamin Kanarek, I am quite familiar with your work...which is exceptional, I might add. Your arrival here comes right on the heels of abandoning Pentax and taking up Nikon. There have been Benjamin Kanarek user names registered on Pentax and other forums and some members of those communities have shared the same feeling I have. Here is one quote I stumbled upon:

What is great about Ben is his active posting of his work. Yes, it highlights his talent and work - and I guess that there was some issues as it was viewed as self advertising, but I have also read threads where he - just out of the blue, made a post - providing lighting advice to someone shooting their jewelry.

If you really are Benjamin Kanarek, there's no need to spam us by name dropping your latest shoots. This isn't that kind of community. No one here is going to be dazzled and amazed, and frankly, there's no need for you to seek praise from mere mortals. We'll be more impressed when you help someone with their lighting setup or something along those lines.

Honestly I give everyone the benefit of a doubt and take them by face value/their word. I am sure there are people out there that mimic others for the attention and I honestly feel sorry for them. I for one think people should be given a chance and if its found out that they are not the person they proclaim to be then so be it, but honestly I see no harm in it. And if they are the person they state then its good for this forum and beginners alike. But everyone should be given that chance, also we all advertise in one way or another (eg my flickr account) and people can look at the links if they like, there is no pressure placed on members to click these links imho.
I also have dealt with a few people that are highly thought of in different areas, I treat each individual regardless of who they are with the same respect as others. Thats from General Managers to CEO's to TV personalities. I also find that nearly all are appreciative that they are thought of as a normal person and not "Special".

Anyway thats my two cents.

Cheers
