Testing Galaxy S7

I went to botanical gardens for a walk but did not take my Nikon gear. I only had my new S7 phone with me. Took a few pictures of flowers. Honestly, I was surprised by the quality of this tiny camera can do!

Did you do any post processing on these photos? The iPhone has some built in software that does an amazing job on photos and on occasions I have sent them to my computer and into Lightroom.

The new phones do an amazing job taking photos. They don't take the place of a good Nikon but they are always in our pockets and ready to shoot in a pinch.

I did some post-processing on 1, 2 and 3, but I think I only did cropping on the rest.

My previous phone, Nexus 4, wasn't really good at taking photos - they all looked disappointing, so eventually I stopped using it as a camera at all. This one is much more promising. And, as you say, I always have it with me, so I might take some shots I would have otherwise missed.

I have the Samsung S6, as you say, the camera is very good,
One thing I do like, is you can change the focus point, just hold your finger on the screen where you want it to focus. Once focused take you finger off the screen.

The latest iPhone do that too. Android and iPhone seem to be in constant battle on phones and at the top of their lists is the cameras. That is good for us. Our Nikons still do a better job. :cheerful:
