Will a D2X work without the CF Card door ? I've had small accident with mine and now need a replacement door

Welcome to the forum. I suspect it will, just give it a try both my d7100 and d5100 will fire with the door open. Not an ideal situation, the door will keep contaminates from entering the camera.
