I am the proud owner of a low shutter count D80 (old D70 got stolen) with just the Nikkor 18-70 at the moment.

I take pictures of almost anything for fun, but my main interest is Zoolological photography centered around Arachnida and other Arthropods.

I am re-kitting as time goes by and my 2nd and most important lens to get will of course be a 100 or so 1:1 capable macro, probably a Tokina as the Nikkors are so expensive over in the UK!

There are plenty of holes in my knowledge, even after quite a few years and I will make use of the wide knowledge-base that seems to exist on this forum.

Welcome, there are a few on here that take alot of macros so feel free to ask or do a search as most of it would have already been answered.

Welcome. I had a aD80 for quite a while and it is a good camera. Did not do macros with it so we will have to rely on you to show us what it can do.

Welcome!! I registered all of my equipment with Lenstag. Hopefully if it ever gets stolen, I will get it back. If you don't have it, I would recommend getting it. :)

If its small creature macro you like, @Ironwood has taken loads of absolute belters, type 'Ironwoods Backyard Critters' in the search bar, and start on page 1. Welcome along..

Cheers JD, yes I do like my macro. :)

It is also worth checking out the macro threads started by @Scott Murray , he has done a lot of work to help others get stated on the right track.

Edit- Oh, and welcome to the forum ;) .
