Hi to you all out there - far and wide.
I have just set foot into the world of Nikon with a rather nice clean and seemingly little used Nikon F80. The camera was apparently bought new as a NOS item back in 2003. Bought for a daughter that was taking up a career in media and studying away from home,it was bought with the standard 28-80 lens and a Cosina 100-300 macro lens as an extra along with bag and extras. This little outfit came to me a few days ago for the princely sum of £62.00 plus carriage via Parcel Force.
The daughters aspirations were rather short lived and the camera was put away and not used again.
My reasoning behind buying the kit was to have a slightly smaller but considerably lighter alternative to a Yashica 230AF outfit that I bought new in 1988 albeit I have dipped into digital with several cameras from the Fuji FinePix stables - I have always wanted a chance to run with Nikon.
I figured that a Nikon film camera was the way to go and then look into Nikon digital products.
Once I have given the camera a thorough appraisal and produced some images I will post a selection.
