Hiya.. have gone and gotten meself a nikon d5000 for cheap as chips as far as I am concerned, have experience of photography but in no ways would I say that I fully understand wtf it is I am doing LOL due to the point and shoot nature of my previous cameras, those being.. my first was a cannonette junior which I won in an auction in Plymouth donkeys ago, then from there various bridge cameras, canon s3is and me lumix fz28 have kept my interest in photography..

Will be me first time diddling about with raw and the like and to be frank, it goes right over this jose's head but then again most things usually do :eek:nthego: but am sure that once I get going it, or rather you lot will switch on some lightbulbs oops upside me head.


Location is Wales Uk, the shot below was me old sony s730 compact jobbie..

Looking forward to becoming a full on hard core nikonite and wondering if Desmond Decker would have changed his lyrics had he been a bit of a snapperholic???

seriously, welcome to the forum and dont hesitate to ask. there is an enormous wealth of knowledge to be had on this forum but be warned, what starts here as a hobby can result in rehab ;)

Am in a state of considerable excitement LOL, mixed with what if's.. really don't know what to expect, description on ebay was MINT condition which for me is good enough but wondering what is one persons idea of "mint condition" versus what actually is "mint condition" which is boxed with all the doodars that came with it in the first place.. like the shutter release cable etc.. will soon find out.. fingers crossed it will get here tomoz.. otherwise tis another day as a plastic nikoniter... will do the challenge thingy if i still got time.. food is the subject I believe and several ideas running around me head and jeez I cannot stop thinking about me new-2-me camera.. still tis nice to have ones head awash with so many possibilities/ideas/creations so shant complain..

If you paid by PayPal you can of course take action via them if it is not "mint condition" as described. Look forward to some pics from sunny Wales (and no!! I'm not from Yorkshire :D )
