Hello everyone, just new here. Up until now I have been lurking around the Pentax users forum, but I thought I had better join here since I took delivery of a brand new D610 the other day. That kind of behaviour doesn't get appreciated over there as much as it does here I'm guessing.

Now all I have to do is start a new collection of glass, because I didn't buy the kit, just the body only. Now my new toy just sits on the desk and stares at me waiting to be used.

Why does nikon glass have to be so expensive? And is it worth it? And does anyone here know of a cure or a treatment program for photography addiction?

Cheers
Andrew

Welcome to Nikonites Anco

There is no cure for NAS - which is what you have. Sorry.

what I want to know is how you can buy such a good camera and no glass. You need to see a shrink.

Thanks Gorf. None for the nikon yet. Had my eye on the 24-70 and thought if I buy the kit lense it may just collect dust after I upgrade.

Welcome! The D610 is an excellent camera, I'm planning on getting one soon.

Might I suggest the 24-120 f/4 VR instead of the 24-70? You do lose a bit of the aperture, but it's an awesome lens that can be had for a lot less than the 24-70 f/2.8.
