Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My Name is Choosak and I am a hobbyist photographer. I have been doing photography for 5 years now. I am primarily a Canon shooter, so please don't hold that against me. :) I just picked up a Nikon D7000 and at first I was a little disappointed in the out of focus pictures that I was getting. But then I had read up on the probable causes and learned that the prior owner of my camera had messed with the fine tune auto focus with the lens that I was using. All is well! :)I hope to learn as much as possible from this community and offer any insight that I can!

Well SteveH, I have a full frame Canon 6D for low light, potrait, and landscape type shooting. and I did have a crop body (Canon 7D) for fast action and sports photography. If I could have afforded 1 body for both it would have been the Canon 5D MKIII. An opportunity had presented itself where I switch bodies with a friend of mine. My 7D for the 7000. I also switched out my crop lens for his crop lens. On paper the 2 bodies are pretty similar, but the 7000 had just a little more features that I was looking for in a camera, ie video, dynamic range, hi iso capabilities, dual card slot. Since I am not heavily invested in one system, I made the switch. It's like having an Android phone and an Apple tablet! :)

I'd say welcome to the dark side, but you're already coming from the Canon world... LOL
