not new to Cameras or even digital cameras, but just a happy snapper who occasionally gets one right. Yes i still need the auto feature when thinks get tough or for that quick snap. I recently gave my son a d200 that i purchased and same fun with but like with everything sat unused because it was easier to grab the 3100.
