Hi Guys newbe here

I am an old timer and this is first time on the forum. I have been in the hobby since 1980 and still learning. Which is why I am here. I retired from a major port four years ago. My wife and I travel around shooting motorsports and nature. We use nothing but Nikons. Six cameras, both film and digital, nine lenses, and two flashs. Hopefully through you members I will increase my knowledge of my hobby.

Happy days are here again - lot of time for taking lots of good photos! Welcome! It would have been nicer if you'd fulfilled your signature, so that we all know what gear you use in particular...

Hi,
I tried puting gear in the profile sect. it says to start typing something will come up , nothing happens, am I doing something wrong?

Welcome....I hope to go to the Syracuse Nationals Car Show later this summer.....hopefully I'll get some kick butt pictures! I like cars too.....glad to have you on the forum....yes....also one of the moderators should be along soon for some helpful links for you to be able to post your equipment, etc. You can always add your lenses and stuff at the bottom of a signature if that helps! Welcome anyways.....but we would like to know what type of equipment you and your wife are shooting with as it helps us understand and know how to help you if you encounter a problem. Thanks for sharing with us.

What gear do you have? I will try to put it into my profile and see if it comes up for me. I think from your other thread you said "D5300" and "18-55" lens and both of those give me options when I type them in (without the quotes) in the camera and Lens (or favorite lens) fields, respectively. What are you trying to type in?

You can add that to your signature line. Go to SETTINGS, under MY SETTINGS, click on EDIT SIGNATURE.

Hi Harle, Welcome to the forum!
The profile part takes the model of camera you use mainly I believe - Most people pop a list of their kit in the signature as it is more complete.
