Nikonites,

Our theme for this month is "Freestyle". Show us your best images taken by your Nikon camera equipment. Images can range from macro, street photography, sports, landscape, portrait, night photography, etc. Be creative and the most important part is to have fun and show us your work. ;)

The Rules.

1.Only entries should be posted in these threads, if you want to comment a certain entry, you could do so by sending a private message to the original poster.

2.You can influence the votes by "Liking" certain entries. When we judge, we take into account the number of likes received by different entries, so if you vote for all of them, you are not helping much. Since we only select 5 entries to be showcased, it would be nice if you would limit your likes to 5 entries as well.

3.These Assignments are meant only for experience and to help members get better in different types of shooting situations, so don't be afraid to participate.

4.Remember the rules: ONLY 3 entries per participant, all entries have to be taken during the pre-determined Assignment period.

Happy shooting and enjoy your Nikons!

These are just examples to give everyone some ideas.

Entry #1 for me…

Not very many years after the 9/11 attacks, I bought this 3D laser-etched glass block at a store in Lompoc, where I lived at the time, containing this image of the World Trade Center.

This is an anaglyph 3D image that I took just now.

Two pictures taken at 1/15 of a second, ƒ1.4, ISO 100, using my ancient 50mm ƒ1.4 lens with a star-shaped stencil on the front to shape the bokeh.
Combined into an anaglyph image using Anaglyph Workshop.

This image is most properly viewed using standard red/blue 3D glasses, with a red lens over the left eye, and a blue lens over the right eye. What looks otherwise like patriotic red, white, and blue highlights if you look at it straight are what form a three-dimensional image when you look at it through proper red/blue anaglyph glasses.
