No telescope used...just a nikon d5000 & 50mm f/1.4 lens on ambico tripod.nothing fancy.4 sec as and aperture 1.4 Iso? Without looking on PC at home.4 sec is Mac duration at 50mm fl to prevent star trails/blur....find Cassiopeia and slightly down from bottom of w shape(Cassiopeia) you can see with binoculars it looks like fuzzy spot but actual closest spiral galaxy to our own

I have ordered a Celestron nexstar 4SE with an adaptor for my Nikons. It has automatic tracking etc and preset things. I will need all the help I can get.

It has its own finder I think. I also use star walks on android

Stellarium simulates any sky any date and will show u when stars come into view and acts as a targeting system when connected to scope.I am happy to converse but don't want to flag everyone when we do..like I said just email
