Photo Book

I would really like to take all of my albums of pictures (about 60 of them) and condense them into one "book". My thought is that "when I'm gone" my daughter will probably never look at our albums again, and I'd hate for that to happen.

I've looked into photo website books and those can 1) be cheesy, and 2) be very expensive. so I'm asking you, the experts, about publishing a book of my photos (only a few copies for our family).

I'm talking a couple hundred pages. Some would be one photo per page, and others would have several photos. I would like to be able to put captions on each page so my grand children, and hopefully their grandchildren, will be able to see pictures of us, and some of the generations before us.

Speaking as the daughter of a photographer (my mom), I think you may be wrong. My mom died in 2008 and to this day I treasure every photo and album.

I think the idea of one book is wonderful, but don't "dismantle" your 60 albums. Almost any professional lab offers press printed books/albums and you can use templates --easy enough to create your own or get album software like DS Album or Production Suite, which is what I use for wedding albums.

The other option is Blurb or Lulu . . . print on demand companies.

You're not "checking out" anytime soon, are you, Dave?
