We saw a lot of bluebonnets on the way to Gun Barrel City today. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me ... but now I know where I'm headed next weekend! :)

I took these over on Hwy 39 near 187 intersection, about 30 miles west of Hunt. They've had much more rain this spring than they have the past few years, and things are pretty green. Enjoy.

Where are you at? I go to that area alot, my sister and brother in law have a place near Vanderpool. Will go back in a couple of weeks.....I've been going to that area since I was road racing bicycles in my younger years. I would go out there and train in 90's.

FYI there is a cool set of waterfalls between Hunt and Kerrville on 39, I believe it is like the 2nd or 3rd crossing out of Hunt. I took some cool pictures the same day as the flowers, the remainder of the weekend was misty and foggy. I got some very cool pix on the top of the higher hills I plan to make BW.

Me? I'm up in Dallas. Spent most of this weekend roaming around White Rock Lake in East Dallas, and I keep passing the same field of bluebonnets and forgetting to stop until after dark and the rain has moved in. Today is the day though!
