The viewpoint

I took a trip to one of our local viewpoints where we normally have para/hang gliders flying, it was too windy today even though there were a few normal gliders in evidence.

The wind was blowing the clouds in quickly and the sky was changing as were the colours so I grabbed a few images with the D3s and 24-120.

Thank you all for the feedback, it was very windy and the clouds were racing across the sky so light was changing fast.

Thanks sonicbuffalo,

The aim was to show the nice stretch of sunlit flatland leading to the river and on to the mountains in the distance, losing foreground would have spoiled what I was trying to achieve.

I feel the others have captured the sky as it changed so they compliment the first image.

I know what you're saying.....and the image is very nice....what I meant to say is I would have raised the hrizon to show more land. Too much sky, where you could have shown more land, but what do I know?

Thanks Chris,

Now I know what you mean! I did think about including more foreground but there were some straggly bushes/trees that would have spoiled it so went for crop displayed.
