Need pointers on techniques for portraits of musician

Was looking for pointers on taking stills of a musician singing while seated at a grand piano. My instinct is that this arrangement might limit the number of traditional views/angles that might yield useful photos, so I thought I'd post here for suggestions / ideas. The stills would ultimately be overlaid on an audio track to serve as visuals, so I'm expecting we'd need a good number of unique shots for that purpose. Any ideas / suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Lid open, shoot down the strings. Lid closed, use the reflection from the (probably) shiny lid. Shoot from all angles around the piano including above if that's an option (space permitting). Shoot details : fingers playing; hammers striking strings. Do all of the above whilst performing and in posed positions.
That's what springs to mind immediately without being in the room !
