Cigars & Guns

Re: Cigars & Guns

Yeah the air weights have a little bite shooting full bore rounds but darn is it nice to carry. Don't even know it's there and no hammer to snag.

My dad has a beautiful model 41 himself that he setup for competition. I'd like to join the ranks some day.

You lucky guys. We had our guns taken away in the UK after a knee-jerk reaction by the government.
My very best friend and business partner lives in the UK and I've been a few times. I don't think I could ever possibly live there based on the politics alone. With that said, the USA is following suit rather quickly and unfortunately there's nowhere left on earth to find freedom. Scary and sad. :(

The politics and attitude of the majority of the people is why I left the the UK. All of us who shot would happily have handed our guns in if we believed it would solve gun crime. It didn't and people are still murdered every day. It was said that part of the problem was the police were worried about us as 99% of us were better shots than 99% of them, a fact I witnessed when we had competitions.

We also had a problem with your government trying to take away some of our guns and powder a bit over a couple of hundred years ago. Now, we seem to have a problem with some in our government wanting to do the same.

And if it comes to that again; I'd like to think the people will let them have the guns when they pry them from their cold dead hands!! That's when they'll get mine.

According to a friend of mine who is officially in the know, gun deaths went up more after they took the guns away from us legal owners.

That doesn't surprise me. I've read that in several countries where private gun ownership has been banned by government decree, the rate of murder by knives and clubs went up significantly, as did the overall homicide rate.

Oh, and by the way, what is the opinion "on the street" over there about the fellows who took down the "robber" on the train with the AK and box cutters? I really had to laugh at the photos I saw of him hog-tied on the floor of the train. ;)
