Abingdon Airshow

I went to the Abingdon airshow on Sunday with a great friend and fellow photographer, cheap to get in £10 - the weather was a challenge though - sunshine to start and then torrential rain for the rest of the day so we both got a good soaking - flying display cancelled for a while and just restarted prior to closing time.

Sorry this is image heavy but I wanted to try and capture the essence of the day!

The D810 + 28 - 300 did a great day despite a good soaking!

Thanks all for the feedback, poor bugger had been waiting a long time for the flying to restart he lost the will to live!! Not sure if it is the meteor trainer but a great aircraft and came out ok despite the weather.

I am really happy with the D810 AF, it seems to nail the shot 99% of the time and any that are slightly off are down to me!

Hi Lee,

No the feet were one of the only dry parts - gortex boots.........that will teach me to forget my waterproof poncho!

Great shots! Would love to actually attend an air show some day... they always fall when some other life event is demanding attention, though. At least so far.
