Today marks my one year anniversary here and this, my 3,000 post. It seems an appropriate moment to thank you all for enduring and even encouraging my compulsive addiction to making pictures. You have allowed me a warm and welcoming place to share what my eye happens upon and I manage to capture, for better or worse, with my camera. You have, by your example and critique, pushed me to better what small talents I brought to the table. I truly appreciate your fellowship and sincerely hope that I have returned some measure of the pleasure I have received.

Now, time to go take some pictures.

No, but I have cranberry/almond biscotti in the oven right now. Now I have to decide if I should dip them in chocolate or go natural. I'll keep you posted. . .

You have discovered my dark and nefarious machinations of time and space. You will now have to be punished in the worse possible way -- no matter the settings, all your pictures will be three stops over-exposed. Take that!

Thanks very much and to everyone else, as well. Sometimes I just wish it was more of a romp than a pitched battle, but then I'd probably get bored.
