Lens/Body dilemma

I have a D80 and a D7100
I have a Tamron 18-270mm zoom and the Tamron 150-600mm zoom

I am going whale watching on Friday. I'd like to try the 150-600mm zoom out but want to take the 18-270mm zoom as back up in case I find I can't handle the weight against boat movement with the 150-600 lens.

I'm thinking of taking both bodies with a lens on each. Which lens should I put on which camera to get the best results?

That would be my choice also!

Thanks for confirming my thoughts as that is what I was thinking too but as there is a good chance I may end up using the 18-270 all day long was unsure (not sure I want to be changing lenses in what could be unstable conditions).
