If any of you are looking for a wide angle zoom lens and don't want to pay the $800 that Nikon is asking for a 10-24, the Tamron variant is quite good. I owned the lens in the past and i had a lot of fun with it and obtained very good results with it. For nearly half the price of the Nikon, you can't go wrong.

I bought this lens lens last month on an impulse and it seems to be good so far. You sure can't beat the price.

Does that one work for the D5300? I'm confused by the description on the Tamron site about Di, Di II and Di III. Will the Di II work for the D5300? It only costs about $330 in Japan with the exchange rate and I'd like to get one, but I must be sure it's the right one for the 5300. Thank you!

It will work just fine. I used mine on a D7100, another DX camera.
