55-300mm Lens

I'm Thinking About Buying A 55-300mm Lens To Shoot Some Portrait Shots With My D3200. Does Anybody Have This Lens If So What's Your Opinion On It

I purchased the lens about 3-4 years ago and it definitely adds a whole new dimension to what I shoot. I don'd do any portrait work so I am not sure how those photos will turn out.

Looking back at some of my early photos with the lens, they were pretty terrible but practice and learning more about depth of the field has changed. All-in-all I like the lens for what I shoot. I see a lot of people going with the 70-200 but I am zoom greedy

Most of the Nikon Zooms are a bit soft at the 300 end. So I would restrict the zoom to 200mm.

I ordered a Tamron 70-200mm. I can't afford the Nikon at the moment

I have the Tamron 70-300mm lens and very happy with it.
