    Memory Card?

I have a Nikon D60 and I don't know why all of a sudden I am getting a message that my Memory Card is locked and said to slide lock to "write" position! Don't know how it got like that and don't know what to do?

on your sd card there is a small switch that locks to save whats on your chip and keeps you from recording over it.

most recording devices have a write protect on them, way back to when they had floppy discs on computers, vcrs, cassette tapes etc. at least from the 1980s and on.

Not quite correct, newb. CF cards (Compact Flash) don't have this feature, unfortunately.

    Re: Memory Card?

Ive never used it, so im not sure about this, but there is a mode in most cameras ( protect images )
Its to prevent accidental deletion of images. It might say protect !!!!!
Have a look to see if you might have accidently set this !
