I have an idea of what might be happening. If an image is too large, the forum will reject it. And the size you posted is much too big. One of the problems when posting from iPhones and iPads is that they will compress images to keep storage space on the devices. So I downloaded your pic from this post: https://nikonites.com/landscape/7794-post-your-sunrises-137.html#post722919 Its file properties list it as 600x400 with a resolution of 72dpi. So most likely that is the cause. The reason I know this is I used to photograph the local high school's drama productions. One of the kids took a pic while they were away at a competition. He allowed me to have the full size which I then edited. I sent it to one of the teachers who forwarded it to some of the kids' parents. Keep in mind this was a huge photo - at least 11x14. One of the parents tried getting it printed, but it wound up coming out pixelated. After a little back and forth with the parent, I asked for the pixel dimensions. It was far too small. That's when I found out about iPhones and iPads compressing images. Not sure about other smart phone manufacturers. Post from a PC or Mac if possible and see if that makes a difference.
