Hello Everyone, I know it's been many moons since I jumped on here. I really appreciate the great info on here I just wish I had read all of this sooner. Sadly I forked out the extra dough for an XQD card and it has given me nothing but issues. I have had two card readers, adjusted my computer and used new ports only to have the card load a 1/4 of the photos taken on the three occasions that I have had the chance to get out and shoot something. I used rescuepro I got with the the SDHC card I purchased (which I have never had any issues like this with any of my Sandisk SDHC cards) it will recover them just fine, but when I try to open the semi loaded photos it tells me it is unable to load that format. I tried to open them in different software so all I can say is HUH? It loaded 30 other photos in the exact format why can't it find the other 10? This XQD it's a weird breed and I am out 130.00 but I will continue to use the D500 cause it is a new love hate relationship, but I will only use the SD slot. I am so glad I haven't lost anything yet, as I have used the XQD and the SD for back up thank goodness. I have only had the card for two months. Talked to the someone at my local camera store and they said it was unusual for and XQD to be corrupt, but oh ghee lucky me I got the unusual one I think. At this point not really sure if I will fork out more for the CFex even if the firmware comes out anytime soon.
