Grandpaw - Just checked out your threads for the D7000. I have a D80, D90 and D5100, but a lot of these posts are helpful for those cameras also. Good job! Now I just have to figure out how to remember some of the information you give when I am out in the field. That's the hard part! Ha. My husband and I are going to the Grand Canyon and the Painted Desert later this month. If you have any hints or info that might be particularly useful to me, please let me know. I may never make it there again and so don't want to blow this photo-op because I haven't prepared correctly. I'm seriously considering the battery pack, although I always carry a spare charged battery, so I don't know which is more helpful to me. Like I said, if you have any thoughts that might be helpful, please share! Thanks for the comment on my Little Rock skyline photo. I took that in the summer of 2011 and then in 2012, the Arkansas Press Association held a contest for the cover of their directory which goes out to every newspaper in the state. I entered with that one and a few more, and two of them placed in the top 7 and that one won first place. Anyway - very interesting posts. How about buying a D5100 and putting up a thread for it? Keep up the good work. Skooter1
