I know that there are a few around here that understand the Linux/Unix command line.
I need some help plz. (maybe @aroy or Horoscope Fish ?
Yesterday I mistakenly installed the wrong Nvidia driver on my Mint-17 partition, so when booting into Linux, I get a very flickering logon screen where I can't even move the mouse.
I can get into recovery mode from GRUB, but I'm afraid I have forgotten the command to boot with the generic Nvidia driver. I used to know a little of it a long time ago, but I have forgotten most of it.
I can get a root (#) command line, or drop to shell (which I don't think I need to do)
I'm trying to stay away from booting with a live CD and editing the Xorg file. Just want to boot with the generic driver, and then install the correct Nvidia driver.
Thanks!
