I would go sit in his work shop for hours watching him make knives and talk about history. I miss Dave. It is funny, the first knife he made for me was a drop nose blade with a curved handle. We had never met and it fit my hand like he had been making knives for me for years.</p><p></p><p>The monster is a copy of the Confederate D Guard Bowie knife, or shot sword. I did not want the D Guard... It was a bit big for me to carry around but I did like the look... the checkering is from the original file is was forged from. It is resting on the sheath of a USMC KBar just to give you some scale. </p><p></p><p>All Dave's knives were wicked sharp and hold an edge.
