So if you had to cover a wedding with a DX camera, and zoom lenses had not been invented, what primes would you use? I read on the net about one pro who only uses primes and D7000's so just wondered what you think?

I'm just chucking out this question to see people's opinions on a subject that fascinates me. Basically, if technology had been more advanced earlier on (we had the current digital camera's around in the 1960's - 70's) what camera's do you think the street, photo journalists, war reportage, etc...
