Here is one taken on the Silverhill Trail nr Mansfield. The catkin looked like it had a hint of purple in it :)

These are not posted as good pictures but to note a weird happening.

My yellow bloom hibiscus made nice yellow blooms all summer into September.

I saved it from our week of freezing weather a couple weeks ago and now it is blooming again.
But the blooms are now red.
I'm determined to keep it alive and see what color they will be next summer.

Any chance there is more than one Hibiscus plant in the pot? I haven't heard of changing colors, but it isn't like I am a Hibiscus expert. Keep us posted.
