Here's today's history lesson. Before Silicon Valley was famous for the likes of Google, Apple, Yahoo, etc. it was famous for it's quicksilver mine located in New Almaden in the mid 1800's. A lot of the homes that were once occupied by the mine workers are still around, including this one constructed entirely from adobe mud and creek gravel. It's known as the Carson House and is on the National Register Of Historic Places.
