No matter what lens or picture i take everything comes out black. i have reset the camera with no luck now i do not have the warranty with the camera. where could i take the camera for repair and how much should i expect it to cost me?

I have been recording time lapse videos with my d5100 and i notice that the camera would always shut down at 20 minutes. is there a way to disable this auto shutdown?
