SB 800 battery door

Fellow Nikon Listers,

I just purchased a Nikon SB800 and it functions very well. It came complete with all accessories including the
“5th” battery unit.

I simply am not able to remove the standard battery door in order to fit the “5th” unit.

Help !!:unconscious:

Please how does one remove this standard door?

I have the manual and understand the text but the door will not come off. I can certainly break it off but that is not the intended manner.

No idea how to get it off?

Are you talking about the optional feature of the SD-800 like this?

Yes I am.

The issue is that I cannot get the door off that covers the 4 internal batteries so that I can fit the housing for the 5th battery.

???

Mine comes off just like the instructions indicate or if I tip the door to the right when fully open with the pins facing me. Not much effort required.
