godox tt685 with x1-n ?? thoughts

anyone have any use of the godox flashes , the tt685 looks value compared to the shanny 910ex i can get it $30 aud cheaper delivered

thoughts would be greatly appreciated , only thing its missing is the lithium battery

I have used similar types of third party Flashes. It does have a couple of good things going for it HSS (High Speed Sync) and you can use an external pack (usually 8-AA) if you are doing event or want a fast recycle time. The 4-AA would control on the LCD screen and the 8-AA's go directly to the Flash. I have used that on one of the knock off's. So it really depends on what type of Flash photography you intend to do.

Here are some off camera flashes using third party triggers and the flash set in manual mode except for the first one which was controlled by the camera similar to Nikon CLS. One thing I caught was watching Kelby One was using the SB700 in Commander Mode to fire a third party flash as a TTL slave.
